About Us
Not too long ago in a City by the Sea,
there was absolutely no place in Newport, Rhode Island for adults to gather and build community by performing theatre. Seaside Shakespeare Society sought to change all that by creating a safe and welcoming space for actors of all abilities to join together and celebrate a love of William Shakespeare and his brilliant works! We hope you will join our Society soon, and see that if given the chance, stars of Newport can shine on the stage.
Artistic Director Morgan Catherine-Cecilia Capodilupo
is absolutely thrilled to lead this brilliant company of creators! She is currently a BFA Theatre Directing candidate at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. No stranger to Rhode Island, she has been a summer resident her entire life, and an active participant in the theatre community. She has had the honor to work with such local companies as Newport Children's Theatre and Theatre At St. Michael's, as an actress, director, and teaching artist. Morgan is incredibly excited for what should be a really wonderful artistic opportunity in the city she loves so much!
